The Team Lead Research and Reporting plays a pivotal role in leading a multi-million-dollar research program that strengthens Victoria’s forest and fire policy and operations. Drawing on strong attention to detail, ability to organise complex priority work, exceptional skills in partner relationship management, and aptitude for scaffolding skilled teams, the role provides strategic leadership and direction across key research and monitoring programs - the Victorian Forest Management and Ecosystem Resilience programs.

The role supports the generation and translation of science-based knowledge into evidence that informs departmental decision making.

This is an influential and highly collaborative role that is critical to advancing strategic and program objectives. It requires sound judgement, strong critical thinking, contextual awareness, and effective project management to navigate a dynamic environment, build trusted relationships, and ensure accountability, responsiveness, and high-quality outcomes.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification(s) in public policy, business administration, law, natural resource or environmental management or similar is desirable.  

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
