We're looking for a Senior Biodiversity Officer to join our team.
The role leads advice for the protection of environmental values on public land. This includes for DEECA's planned burning, forest management and other public land works.
You will join a small dedicated team, working with public land managers and partners. In the role you will apply your biodiversity expertise and turn strategy into action. It includes a mix of desktop and field-based work.
Based in the Hume Region, this position presents a range of lifestyle opportunities. Flexible workplace arrangements are available.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Relevant degree in Biological Sciences or Natural Resource Management or commensurate experience.
- Knowledge and experience in program management with emphasis on biodiversity, threatened species and communities.
- GIS and computer skills are essential.
This is a fixed term position available until 7 June 2028. The work location for this position is flexible within Hume region with hybrid work arrangements available.
