This position will work within the Agriculture Science and Technology (AST) branch which is responsible for the development and implementation of innovative solutions for issues affecting agricultural productivity and sustainability, informed by cutting-edge capacity in systems biology research.
Reporting to the Senior Project & Facility Manager, the Project Support Officer will provide back-office reception, and organisational and administrative support to DEECA staff, students, and visitors at the AgriBio site. This support includes providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to staff across teams, serving as the first point of contact for requests and enquiries, and coordinating routine processes ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations.
The incumbent is responsible for acting as the key external stakeholder contact for site visits, encompassing the planning, coordination and delivery of tours in line with organisational protocols, and operating with a high degree of autonomy to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
The successful applicant will liaise closely with the Science Operations Business Services Team, interact with stakeholders, and undertake a wide variety of work across the branch.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary degree would be well regarded
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 years. The work location for this position is AgriBio Bundoora with hybrid work arrangements available.
