The Project Officer Strategy and Stakeholder Partnerships (SSP) supports the successful delivery of a strategic stakeholder partnerships plan for the region aligned to the DEECA Community Charter that enables regional communities to connect with and contribute to government priorities, anticipating and mitigating stakeholder issues at place.  The role provides project, stakeholder and issues management support to the Regional Manager SSP, Regional Director, Senior Advisor, other regional teams, statewide portfolios and DEECA Groups to implement DEECA priorities and ensure successful planning and management in the region.  

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

Desirable

  • Experience working with land managers, local government or community groups in the region.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Understanding of public land management
  • Knowledge of the regional context and opportunities.
  • Experience providing inputs to ministerial correspondence and briefings
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting stakeholder engagement planning for government initiative

This is a fixed term position available until 26 March 2027. The work location for this position is flexible within the Hume Region with hybrid work arrangements available.
