Workload and Performance Support Lead
Date: 9 Oct 2026
Location: Melbourne, VIC, AU
Company: DEECA
Resources Victoria recognises that workload is an ongoing challenge for many employees working in a dynamic, complex and fast-paced environment, where teams are required to balance reactive operational demands with proactive strategic priorities. Resources Victoria is committed to supporting sustainable ways of working that enable employees and teams to perform effectively while maintaining their wellbeing.
The Workload and Performance Support Lead has been created as a practical measure to deliver on Resources Victoria's commitment to contemporary workforce management by recognising that productivity extends beyond traditional measures of output and increasingly relies on effective ways of working, adaptability, collaboration and the adoption of new approaches and technologies in a fiscally constrained environment.
The Workload and Performance Support Lead plays a lead role in strengthening workforce performance, workload sustainability, and organisational effectiveness across Resources Victoria. Working closely with leaders, teams and employees, the Workload and Performance Support Lead identifies and supports staff to address the organisational, operational, behavioural and system-related factors that influence workload, productivity and performance outcomes. Using workforce data, evidence-based analysis and stakeholder engagement, the Workload and Performance Support Lead coaches others to lead initiatives that improve workload planning, prioritisation, resource management and ways of working, supporting the delivery of organisational priorities and employee wellbeing.
The Workload and Performance Support Lead also strengthens workforce capability and performance practices through coaching, advice and continuous improvement initiatives. By supporting evidence-based decision-making and the consistent application of performance management practices, the Workload and Performance Support Lead promotes accountability, organisational effectiveness and a culture of sustainable high performance across Resources Victoria.
