DEECA is seeking an experienced Strategic Workforce Insights Lead to join our People and Culture team in an ongoing part-time job share arrangement. This is a rare opportunity to lead how we listen to our people, turn feedback and data into clear workforce insights, and help shape enterprise workforce strategy and executive decisions.

What you’ll do

In this role you will:

  • Co-own and evolve DEECA’s enterprise employee listening framework 
  • Co-lead governance, methodology, running and data quality of DEECA's employee listening activities including the annual People Matter Survey
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into enterprise themes, risks, opportunities and options
  • Produce high-quality executive dashboards, briefings and governance papers
  • Collaborate with your peers to ensure employee insights inform the Workforce Strategy and workforce initiatives
  • Provide leadership and mentoring (including standards for analysis, evaluation and data quality), with one (shared) direct report

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring:

  • Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise employee listening / engagement activities (surveys, workshops, focus groups)
  • Advanced capability in analysis and insight storytelling (quantitative + qualitative data), and ability to set standards for others
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders with clear, actionable recommendations
  • Excellent writing skills for executive-level outputs
  • A tertiary qualification in organisational psychology, HR or related field (well regarded)

Job share – how it will work

We already have an experienced part-time staff member in the role and so the role is available as a permanent part-time job share at 0.5FTE.

We’ll support a structured orientation, development of clear ways of working, and shared accountability for outcomes.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Expertise in designing and implementing listening frameworks to measure the employee experience and engagement, including experience delivering end to end enterprise-wide engagement survey processes and workshops or focus groups
  • Advanced quantitative and qualitative data capability and storytelling; able to set standards and mentor others.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape enterprise decisions through clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience partnering with strategy/integration roles to connect insights to program priorities and benefits.
  • Strong written communication, including executive dashboards and governance papers.
  • Tertiary qualification in organisational psychology, human resources or a related field well regarded

This is an ongoing part time job share at 0.5 FTE position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
