The Senior Project Officer contributes to the development and delivery of preparedness, capability and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen Victoria's biosecurity system and emergency management capability. The role supports analysis, planning and project activities that improve preparedness, inform decision-making and enhance organisational readiness.
The position contributes to development of strategic insights, preparedness tools, lessons management processes and capability-building activities, while supporting the effective integration of information from policy, operational and national sources. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and works collaboratively across government and stakeholder networks to support delivery of biosecurity and emergency management priorities.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification would be well regarded.
- Knowledge of preparedness, emergency management, project delivery, policy development or biosecurity systems is desirable.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
