The Project Officer will contribute to project and service delivery and stakeholder management for the Land Acquistion and Planning team within the Melbourne Strategic Assessment (MSA) program. The MSA program is the Victorian Government’s approach to manage the impact of urban development in Melbourne’s expanded growth areas on significant vegetation communities, plants and animals. The role is part of the Land Acquistion and Planning team that is responsible for assessing urban development applications and associated revenue collection, providing strategic and statutory planning advice to enable development in the MSA Area and progressing land acquistion and transfers to secure the protection of conservation areas including the Western Grassland Reserves 

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Highly desirable: Qualifications in environmental planning, statutory or strategic planning, environmental science, natural resource management and/or significant experience in these areas.
  • Highly desirable: Demonstrated experience in program service delivery and stakeholder management, or land acquisition

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 Months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
