If you are looking to work in a role that contributes to strengthening resilience, risk management and critical infrastructure assurance across the Victorian water sector, this position could be for you.

As a member of the Risk Strategy Team in the Water Security and Resilience Branch, you will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across government and the water sector to deliver priority projects and initiatives within the team’s work program. This includes delivering tasks to achieve defined outcomes across assurance activities, managing projects or work tasks under limited direction, preparing briefings and reports on complex issues, and undertaking research and analysis to inform decision-making and policy development.

The position provides opportunities to build capability and develop skills within a supportive team environment.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s or experience in public policy, science, natural resource management, law, engineering, economics or a water-related or emergency management field is desirable.
  • An understanding of risk management and assurance principles and processes is desirable.
  • An understanding of Victorian and Commonwealth emergency management and critical infrastructure arrangements in an “all hazards all agencies” approach is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the water industry in Victoria and governance and regulatory frameworks is desirable.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
