As part of the Victorian Government’s response to recommendations from the Great Outdoors Taskforce and Eminent Panel for Community Engagement, the Project Manager - Recreation will manage or oversee the delivery of forest recreation and tourism investment within the Gippsland Region.
The key focus of this position is to lead the planning and delivery of the Cheynes Bridge Recreation Precinct Upgrade. This will include developing detailed project plans, planning and approvals, stakeholder engagement, procurement and contract management, budget management, monitoring and reporting.
This position will work closely with District, Regional and Statewide teams to ensure planning and delivery is informed by local knowledge and aligns with strategic priorities.
This position requires a person with experience in project / program delivery, including demonstrated leadership, project management and problem-solving skills.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Knowledge and / or relevant experience in the planning and delivery of forest recreation asset maintenance and improvement programs (or similar) is desirable.
- Procurement and / or contractor management experience is desirable.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2028. The work location for this position is flexible within the Gippsland Region (Traralgon or Bairnsdale preferred) with hybrid work arrangements available.
