Program Officer – Emergency Management Sector Training and Capability is a key role in strengthening Victoria’s emergency management workforce.
As a Program Officer, you will support the design and delivery of a multi-agency training pathway aligned to the Emergency Management Sector Training and Capability Development Model. Working across DEECA and partner agencies, you will help drive capability uplift and workforce readiness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting delivery of the multi-agency training pathway and broader capability initiatives
- Providing policy and governance support to key sector committees
- Contributing to training redesign, mentoring frameworks, recognition programs, and wellbeing initiatives
- Developing practical onboarding resources and tools
- Building strong stakeholder relationships to support program outcomes
You will bring strong policy and critical thinking skills, adaptability in a dynamic environment, and the ability to build respectful, effective relationships across stakeholders.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification(s) in public policy, emergency management, environmental management or similar is desirable.
This is a fixed term available for a period of 2 years. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
