The Program Manager Coastal Operations will develop and implement approaches, systems and controls to support the effective and efficient management and delivery of coastal protection works on public land across the state. You will have the required qualifications to provide technical advice and supervise the investigation, design and delivery of coastal protection projects, operational objectives and priorities including maximising investment and management of risk to government in the context of the Marine and Coastal Policy 2020 and legislation. You will also manage, mentor and coach a project team and develop skills and knowledge in the delivery of statewide coastal projects.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and membership with Engineers Australia is mandatory.
- Registered with the Victorian Business Licensing Authority (VBLA) as a Professional Engineer (Civil) under the Professional Engineer Registration Act 2019 is mandatory.
- Chartered Credentials with Engineers Australia is highly regarded.
- Extensive experience delivering technical excellence in coastal infrastructure and maritime engineering, coastal hazard risk management and adaptation is desirable.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Port Phillip, Gippsland or Barwon South West Regions with hybrid work arrangements available.
