The Program Coordinator is part of the Traditional Owner Partnerships Unit within the Policy and Knowledge Division. The unit supports building and maintaining effective partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders, working collaboratively with engagement staff across the Bushfire and Forest Services Group (BFSG), the wider Department and sector partners.
As the successful applicant, you will support the development of governance, planning and reporting frameworks that will enable effective partnership between DEECA and Traditional Owners in implementing the BFSG’s Self-Determination commitments, with a focus on program development and grant management.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Experience building and maintaining successful working relationships with Aboriginal groups including Registered Aboriginal Parties and Traditional Owner Corporations is desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable - community engagement, community development, relationship management, change management, facilitation and social science.
- Relevant experience and knowledge in community engagement, community development or a related discipline is desired.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 years. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
