Play a key role in the delivery of our Workforce Strategy

We are looking for a Program Coordinator to keep our Workforce Strategy program on track. You will use your strong project management skills to bring order to this complex work, support good decision-making, and surface delivery risks.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain an integrated plan (roadmap, milestones and dependencies) for Workforce Strategy initiatives.
  • Coordinate inputs across workstreams and teams so work is sequenced, tracked and reported clearly.
  • Prepare governance packs, dashboards and regular reporting for senior leaders and committees.
  • Track risks, issues and dependencies and escalate them through the right governance channels.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities
  • Maintain high-quality program records, templates, registers and version control.
  • Support benefits tracking and help keep data accurate across program artefacts and systems.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience coordinating programs or multiple projects (planning, scheduling, reporting, and risk/issue management).
  • Strong writing skills—able to turn information into clear, concise dashboards, reports and governance papers.
  • Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders and bringing people together to get things done.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the flexibility to adapt when priorities change.
  • A commitment to respectful and inclusive ways of working.

About the team

You’ll join DEECA’s People and Culture Division, in the Culture, Capability and Belonging Branch. We partner with teams across the department to strengthen leadership, capability, inclusion and engagement.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating programs or multi project portfolios, including scheduling, reporting and risk/issue management.
  • Strong written skills with demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise dashboards, reports and governance pack materials for senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels to support collaboration and achieve outcomes
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
