Policy Advisor (Circular Economy)

The Policy Advisor will support the development of high quality and proactive policy advice to drive climate action, build Victoria's circular economy and support environment protection.

Working in a supportive friendly team, the role will involve creating policy advice about climate action for decision-makers, including the Minister, the Department’s executive and other government departments. It would suit a candidate who is curious about different ways to approach difficult problems and enjoys collaboration with other areas within government to refine ideas and advice.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

• Experience in undertaking policy analysis and providing policy advice is desirable
• Experience undertaking engagement with stakeholders on policy issues is desirable
• An understanding of Victorian Government policy processes is desirable
• Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field are desirable

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
