Reporting to the Director, Budget Management and Partnerships (Deputy CFO), the Manager Management Reporting and Engagement will provide expert financial management support to senior managers and stakeholders on financial reporting and other aspects relating to the departments financial position. The position leads a dedicated team of financial management professionals and reporting analysts with department wide responsibilities including management reporting, utilising financial position and analysis to create business insights and provides oversight and support to the Department’s Finance, Procurement and Budget Strategy Committee.
The Manager, Management Reporting and Engagement works closely with the Group Finance Managers to maintain and develop policies, procedures and systems to support effective budget development and financial management across the department.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, finance or commerce or equivalent
- A professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA) or MBA qualification is preferable.
- Expertise in best practice budgeting and financial management within government and knowledge of the Financial Management Act, 1994 and the DTF Resource Management Framework will be an advantage.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
