Landscape Evaluator - Port Phillip

Seeking an experienced professional to apply ecological, spatial, and evaluation expertise in support of Victoria’s forest and fire management. You’ll join a regionally embedded team in the Port Phillip Region and work across diverse landscapes to connect policy, operations, and monitoring.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Technical monitoring and evaluation: Demonstrated experience in field-based ecological monitoring and program evaluation.
- Spatial and analytical capability: Proficiency in GIS and spatial data analysis, with a strong focus on translating insights into operational decision-making.
- Stakeholder engagement across scales: Proven ability to engage well from policy teams to field operators, including collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of program delivery.
You will:
- Deliver high-quality ecological monitoring and evaluation, including assessments aligned with state standards and local priorities.
- Manage and interpret spatial and monitoring data to inform planning, reporting, and continuous improvement across fuel and forest management programs.
- Support adaptive decision-making by contributing timely and credible insights into how actions on the ground are influencing outcomes.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is negotiable within Port Phillip Region
with hybrid work arrangements available.
