Digital Content Adviser

We are looking for a Digital Content Adviser to help deliver clear, accessible and engaging digital content across our websites and intranet.
You’ll work with subject matter experts and content editors across the department to ensure content is accurate, user-focused and meets Victorian Government digital standards.
What you’ll do
Review, edit and publish high-quality digital content across web and other channels
Ensure content meets accessibility, usability and Victorian digital standards
Build capability in others by providing advice and guidance to content authors
Use analytics and insights to continuously improve content performance
You’re a collaborative, solutions-focused digital professional with:
- Experience creating and reviewing content for websites or digital channels
- Strong skills using CMS platforms, such as Squiz Matrix, SharePoint and Drupal
- Knowledge of accessibility and digital content standards
- A passion for improving the user experience and delivering customer-focused outcomes
- Ability to work in a dynamic, creative, and collaborative environment, often within challenging timelines
- Sound knowledge of and experience working in government highly regarded
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of editing websites and using content management software including Squiz Matrix and SharePoint. Also, Google Looker Studio, Google Analytics, Canva, Asana, and MS Office.
- Experience in digital communication, reviewing content for websites or other digital channels.
- Contemporary knowledge of Victorian digital standards and accessibility guidelines.
- Sound knowledge of and experience working in government highly regarded.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne (flexibility within Victoria) with hybrid work arrangements available.
