The Change and Communications Officer, Forest Management Planning and Approvals is responsible for driving and managing organisational change across the Bushfire Forest Services for the Forest Management Planning and Approvals system project. This project is part of the forest and fire management planning and approvals framework reform. This role will establish strong relationships, create relevant guidance materials and lead change with the Forest and Fire Operations Division to ensure succesful adoption and implementation of the new planning system. The position works under direction from the Senior Program Officer Values Planning Systems and Data Management, exercising judgement within established frameworks and priorities.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification(s) including qualification(s) in natural resource or environmental management, public policy, change management or similar is desirable.
  • Engagement/communications experience or people-centred change management experience is desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role delivering business reform implementation programs.
  • Understanding of Forest and Fire Management is desirable.

This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2028. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
