Senior Manager Planning and Environment Assessment - Major and State Projects

Are you an accomplished planning and environmental leader looking to make a lasting impact across Victoria? 

As the Senior Manager Planning and Environment Assessment, Major and State Projects, you will provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team responsible for providing high-quality, end-to-end planning and environmental assessment advice across Victoria's statutory planning and environmental assessment frameworks. Your work will directly support the delivery of major transport infrastructure, earth resources developments, renewable energy initiatives and significant housing projects that shape Victoria's future.

This role offers the opportunity to influence key planning and environmental outcomes while ensuring assessments are undertaken efficiently, consistently and in accordance with legislative and policy requirements.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in statutory or strategic land use planning or related field is mandatory. 
• A contemporary understanding of the Victoria Planning Provisions and their application is mandatory. 
• Understanding of government environments and decision making is desirable. 
• Sound understanding of environmental, regional planning and regional development issues.  
• Experience leading and developing teams.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
